Gershwin, by George Friday, July 16, 2010 7:30 pm Ashe Civic Center A program of timeless favorites by George and Ira Gershwin. Performed by the well-known jazz musicians in North Carolina, including acclaimed vocalist Martha Bassett. $12 adults, $5 students
Friday, July 30, 2010 7:30 Ashe Arts Center Ken Kolodner is recognized as one of todays most accomplished, musical hammered dulcimer artists. Ken has been featured on many recordings with musicians in several different genres of music such as old-time, Appalachian, Celtic and bluegrass. Tickets are $10 adults and $5 students.

Night Before Christmas Carol Friday, December 10, 2010 7:30 pm Ashe Civic Center The Night Before Christmas Carol - Join Charles Dickens in his study for a very special night. On this evening in 1843 he creates his ghostly little classic, A Christmas Carol. David zum Brunnen portrays Charles Dickens and seventeen familiar characters from the famous Christmas carol Renowned Dickens scholar, author, playwright, and lecturer, Elliot Engel has crafted a work that is historically accurate, highly humorous. and full of Happy Holiday fun! $12 adults $5 students
