Young at Art Exhibit Features Talented Local Youth

      The 15th annual “Young at Art” exhibit returns to the Gallery of the Ashe Arts Center from March 12-April 12. Featuring the works of Ashe County students in grades kindergarten through 12, the exhibit enables public school and home educated young people to show off their talents.  The exhibit is a non-juried and non-competitive opportunity for students to show their work in a gallery setting.

      This year’s exhibit includes paintings, drawings, sketches, sculpture, photography; mixed media work as well as fiber arts and pottery fill the Gallery. The artists have the opportunity to sell their work as well. The talented young artists participating are:

         The Arts Council strongly believes that the arts are a necessary component of a well-rounded education providing students with a positive vehicle for self-expression, creativity, problem solving and understanding of cultures around us.

      The Arts Council welcomes you to the Gallery of the Ashe Arts Center to view the exhibit Monday-Friday 9-4.  Starting in April the Gallery will be open on Saturdays from 10-4. Come and support our local talented youth. For more information please call 336-846-ARTS.
